THANK YOU AND EXPLORE OUR WEBSITE. other horse rescues C Bar J Horsehaven Rescue is a new rescue for neglected or abandoned horses. Protectors’ of the Horse, Cindy & Bill Jackson are the founders of Horsehaven rescue. Located at 15660 Garnet St, in Dolan Springs,Az 86441. Horsehaven wants horse owners to know, “Don’t just open your gates and let your horse fin for themselves. If your unable to take care of them for any reason, give us a call and we’ll come get them. Help us make a difference in the horse community. ” Their first came to them in 2007, when an elderly woman became handicap and was no longer able to take care of her 2 horses, Dancer and Goldie. “They weren’t being fed properly and had to share the same stall” said Cindy. Dancer and Goldie are back to their normal weight and are doing much better. Fancy, came to Horsehaven in 2008 from the Hualapai Ranch. “They told me she had Narcolepsy, a disease were they would fall asleep out of nowhere, even if someone was riding her. Since we’ve had her she hasn’t had an episode. She’s showing no signs of the disease.” Horsehaven Rescue is planning to raise fund raiser to help pay for more stalls and feed and much more for the rescued horses.
